No single mandatory BIA format
The guidance explicitly does not prescribe one uniform BIA process for every organization.
Fit the organization
The process can be adapted to the organization's type, size, objectives, resources and constraints.
Formal and documented
A repeatable documented process improves comparability and maintenance over time.
Connect to continuity decisions
The BIA should provide information that helps the organization set priorities and continuity requirements.
Business continuity is organization-specific. Recovery priorities, legal duties, safety requirements, contracts, insurance terms and technical recovery methods should be validated by the responsible people in the organization.
